Custom-built shiplap coffee table

Material

PINE

Finish

OAK Stain & HARDWAX OIL

DIMENTIONS

1800mm x 900mm x 20mm thick

This one was a fun build from start to finish - a solid pine coffee table with a custom shiplap-style top that gives it a bit of extra character without being over the top. I really love how the lines in the top break it up and add that little “something” when the light hits it.

I went with an oak stain to warm the pine up and bring the grain to life, then sealed it with a hardwax finish to keep it feeling natural while still giving it solid protection for everyday use.

It’s got that smooth, clean feel, but it’s also made to be used properly — coffee cups, movie nights, feet up… the lot.

Simple, sturdy, and just a really nice piece that works in pretty much any living space.
